Profile of the Offender:
In July 2017, two years to the day of the Kansas College Rapist last attack, Riley County Police Department and the Lawrence Police Department held a press conference. At the press conference, they announced they were launching a website: Kansas College Rapist.

On the website they include the timeline, recent news, and details about the crime. But they also offer a profile of the offender.

The serial rapists MO is that of a stranger/intruder rapist. He surveils his victims to gain knowledge of their patterns. This is known because of the 14 women attacked, 12 were alone. It is thought he enters the home while the victim sleeps, but there is no sign of forced entry. He uses a gun to make the victim compliant. Most of his assaults occur between 2 and 4:30 AM.

The profile speculates about his personality. He is thought to be intelligent and adept at delaying gratification. The offender is capable of extensive planning. He most likely has a job with very little interpersonal adeptness.

Based on witnesses descriptions, the offender is thought to have been between 20 and 30 when the series began. As of 2015, his age was speculated to have been at least 33 years old--making him at least 39 years old now. He is between 5'9" and 6 feet. At times he was said to have a prominent stomach and noticeable muscle tone in the thigh area. He wore a mask so hair and facial hair are unknown.

The sketch was released as someone of interest the police would like to speak with. The man was spotted by a witness near the first attempted assault. It is unknown whether the sketch belongs to the Kansas College Rapist or not.

ASSIGNMENT:
We are looking for any information that could lead to the Kansas College Rapist. As of now there are no related cases since July of 2015. Both Riley County and the Lawrence Police Department believe there may have been other unreported assaults or attempted assaults. Any information you have could be helpful to find the offender who has been causing fear on both campuses. The timeline could be key. Think about who is in town during those time periods, and who might have left town during that large gap from 2008-2015. And also do some searching to see if there are any other attacks on college campuses during that period with that MO. If you have any information, please contact us.
